1. Introduction
The Reusable CPAP Mask is intended to provide an interface for application of CPAP or
bi-level therapy to patients who have been prescribed CPAP therapy and are under the
specific direction of a physician. It is used in conjunction with continuous positive airway
pressure devices in home, hospital and institutional environments. This mask is designed for
use with CPAP or Bi-level systems recommended by your health are professional or
respiratory therapist.
2. Contraindication
The CPAP Mask may not be suitable for some people. Please do not use the item on patients
with the following conditions:
Excessive gastro esophageal reflux
Impaired cough reflex
Hiatal hernia
Impaired cardiac sphincter
The mask should also not be used on patient who is uncooperative, obtunded, unresponsive
or unable to remove a mask.
3. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy is the safest and most predictably
effective treatment for sleep apnea. CPAP therapy works by maintaining an open,
obstruction-free airway through the flow of pressurized air. CPAP therapy is administered by
a CPAP machine, which uses room air and electricity to create pressure that holds the airway
